Balochistan Express holds a distinct position: Balochistan's first online English newspaper. Its readership — professionals, policymakers, and the diaspora — expects the standards of a national English daily: clean typography, organized sections, and news that's up within minutes of breaking.

The existing setup couldn't keep pace. The editorial team needed to publish continuously — news, opinion, editorials, and the daily paper — with thousands of readers hitting the site every day and no tolerance for downtime.

We designed for the two audiences a newspaper site actually has: readers and the newsroom. Readers got the front-of-house — a fast, cleanly ranked homepage and article pages that load instantly under load. The newsroom got the back-of-house — a CMS shaped around how editors rank top news, schedule sections, and push the daily paper.

Caching strategy was the technical heart of the build: articles render once and serve thousands of times, so traffic spikes cost nothing, while breaking-news updates still propagate in seconds.

The daily e-paper is a first-class feature: 'Today's Paper' gives readers the full print edition digitally each morning, uploaded by the editorial team themselves.

Under the hood, the portal is built for sustained daily traffic — cached article delivery, image optimization for news photography, and search across the growing archive. The newsroom runs the entire operation without technical support.
