Baltistan Medical Trust has been running blood drives, free medical camps, and emergency response across Gilgit-Baltistan since 2009 — 15+ districts, 5,000+ blood donors, ambulances covering 200km of mountain roads. What it didn't have was a digital presence that could turn that track record into donations, volunteers, and faster emergency contact.
For an NGO, the website is the trust signal. Donors — local and overseas — need to see real impact before they give. Volunteers need a way in. And someone searching for blood at 2 AM needs the emergency number in one glance, not buried in a contact page.
We ranked the site's jobs by stakes. Emergency contact came first — the hotline lives permanently in the header because someone searching at 2 AM is the visitor who can least afford friction. Donations came second: real, verified impact numbers up front, because donors give to evidence, not adjectives.
Everything on the site earns its place by serving one of the three audiences — donors, volunteers, or people in emergencies. Anything that served none of them got cut.
“When someone needs blood in Skardu at 2 AM, the website's job is to put the emergency number in front of them in under three seconds.”
A website built around the trust's three audiences: donors, volunteers, and people in emergencies. The emergency hotline sits permanently in the header. 'Donate Blood' and 'Become a Volunteer' are one click from anywhere. Donation flows support both local and international givers.
Impact is front and center — verified numbers for medical camps, blood donors, patients served, and districts covered, alongside campaign reports like the Muharram blood drive, an events calendar, and a photo gallery from the field.
The site pairs with the BMT mobile app we built for the trust's volunteers, which manages blood coupons and donor records digitally — the website recruits the donors, the app manages them.
The trust now has a digital presence that works as hard as its volunteers — emergency contact in one glance, donation flows that accept support from anywhere in the world, and campaign reports that turn seventeen years of field work into donor confidence. Together with the volunteer app, it forms one system: the site recruits, the app manages.
“Our volunteers ran everything on paper registers for years. With the app Codified built, finding an eligible donor takes seconds instead of hours. This work is saving lives in Baltistan.”
