The Challenge

MASHALLAH Mobile runs a busy phone shop: handsets and accessories moving daily, purchases from multiple suppliers, and the credit ledger — udhaar — that every Pakistani retail business lives on. All of it was tracked by hand.

Manual tracking has a compounding cost. Stock counts drift from reality, credit balances live in a notebook only the owner can decode, and there's no end-of-day picture of what actually sold and what it earned. And with employees at the counter, the owner needed control over who can see purchase prices and profit margins — a paper system has no permissions.

Our Approach

The shop counter set the constraints: the app had to work with the internet down, respond instantly during a sale with a customer waiting, and never lose a day's data. That ruled out anything cloud-dependent and pointed straight at a local-first desktop application.

We built module by module in the order the shop feels pain: inventory and sales first, then purchases and the credit ledger, then reporting and roles. Each module went into daily use before the next was built, so the system was earning its keep from week one.

The owner sees profit margins and supplier prices. The counter staff see what they need to make a sale. A notebook can't do that — the app can.

What We Built

A desktop application that runs the entire shop from one screen. Inventory tracks every handset and accessory with stock alerts. Sales and Purchases record every transaction and update stock automatically. The Dashboard shows the shop's pulse — today's sales, low stock, credit outstanding — and Daily Reports close each day with a clear profit picture.

The Credit Manager digitizes the udhaar ledger: every customer balance, every installment, with Reminders flagging what's due — no more chasing balances from memory.

Role-based access separates the owner from employees: staff can sell and record transactions, while purchase costs, margins, and reports stay owner-only. Settings keep the shop in control of its own data.

The Stack — And Why
The Impact

The shop closes every day with numbers instead of guesses — what sold, what it earned, who owes what. Stock counts match the shelves, the udhaar ledger reminds instead of relying on memory, and the owner can finally step away from the counter knowing staff see exactly what they need to and nothing they shouldn't.
